However, according to the RBI guidelines, it is necessary for KYC users to use them. 

This instruction was issued so that such online transactions can be monitored. Also, money laundering, fraud, and other crimes can be avoided. The KYC deadline was laid on February 28, 2018. But there are still many users who have not made KYC on these payment volumes. Complete the KYC on Paytm


  1. Login to app or website
  2. Click on the option
  3. Here you will see an option of Upgrade Account, click on it
  4. Select your location from the list and you can make KYC by visiting the nearest Paytm KYC center.
  5. For KYC you will need a PAN Card or any other valid document as Aadhaar card and identity card.


If KYC does not do then what will happen?

  1. According to the guidelines of RBI, non-KYC verified customers will not be able to add money without 'Minimum KYC' in the wallet.
  2. Can not send money to anyone else.
  3. Users will not be able to get the benefit of any offer that KYC members get.


What is Minimum KYC?

Minimum KYC needs to enter only a valid document number and some restrictions begin with the transaction from your Payment app. However, till you do full KYC, you will not be able to keep more than 10 thousand rupees in the wallet.

How to do KYC in other wallet?
All volumes like Paytm, Ola Money, Mobikwik and Amazon Pay, PhonePay, Freecharge follow the same process. You have to give a base number and you can complete KYC by providing thumb impression during physical verification.
